About Dana

I have dedicated my life to holistic animal healing and herbalism, naturally connecting with animals for as long as I can remember. My journey with horses began with the arrival of my first horse, deepening my passion and love for these majestic creatures. Through my own herd, I have learned immensely and have become an equine facilitated learner, training to become an animal assisted therapist. This journey led me to develop Starfire Equine Connection, where I am a Starfire Equine Connection facilitator and consultant, committed to the practice of positive reinforcement horsemanship and the foundations of trust, healing, and harmony.

My herd includes Tom Thumb, the Miniature Shetland, Thorn, Ffione, and Mabena, who were rescued by The 3 R’s Horse Rescue Centre, and Dorothy, who was rescued by Oak Tree Animals’ Charity. While they are not part of Starfire Horse Rescue, they share their wisdom and gifts through Equine Interactions. My first pony, Mopsy, traveled to spirit at the age of 31, and I also sadly lost my pony Gwennol. Their spirits remain free and wild upon the lands here and hold a special place in my heart and the hearts of all the horses.

When I am not with my horses, I offer animal healing, herbalism, and communication consultations, as well as herbal consults for people. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, exploring with my dogs, spending time with my cats and rabbits, and expressing my creativity through drawing and painting.
